Submission Guide

There’s no perfect way to tell your story.

Write a paragraph or write ten pages. Tell us about one moment or your entire journey. These aren’t requirements for how to write. They’re just a few things to know before you hit submit.

Tell It Your Way

There’s no required length, format, or writing style. Tell your story the way you remember it and in the way that feels natural to you. What matters to us is that it’s yours.

Don’t Worry About the Writing

You don’t need to be a writer to have a story worth reading. Submit a polished piece, a rough draft, or something in between. When needed, our writers can help edit and shape your submission while preserving your voice and the meaning behind it.

Your Name, Your Choice

You can have your name attached to your story or choose to remain anonymous. Either way, your story receives the same care and has the same opportunity to be shared.

Keep It Real. Keep It Respectful.

We want the real moments, including the difficult ones. But stories should never be used to attack, harass, or spread hate about someone else. Submissions containing hate speech, defamatory claims, sexually explicit material, threats, or other inappropriate content will not be published.
